Photoshoot at Arior Design’s Surrey interior design project

We were invited to design the interior of this beautiful Arts and Crafts home in Haslemere, Surrey. We worked alongside architects Rathbone Miller who carried out the exterior works and extension. The family have three boys so the finihses needed to be robust but have links to the age of the property whilst still having a fun edge.

In the snug TV room we used exsiting floorbaords from the house to create a wall finish, for warmth and texture in this room to hunker down as a family and watch movies.

The amazing ballroom is a multi use room for big family dining, parties and also reading. The amazing high ceilings allowed us to install several mirror balls and lighting tracks for proper parties! We designed a fabulous “party cupboard” housing the music system, lighting system, karaoke machine and a library of books. The lovely wall space to allow a gallery of the client’s beautiful art collection.

A little entrance lobby in dark navy blue with large geometric cement floor tiles makes way into the stunning entrance hall. original cornice details have been retained and enhanced with Farrow and Ball paint. Lots of wall space for hanging more of the art collection. The clients aren’t afraid of the odd pop of colour and we used a bright cobalt blue edge to the carpet runners up the stairs and on the edges of the roman blinds.

The kitchen and dining room was originally two rooms and knocking through made perfect sense for the way the family live. As the ceilings are different heights we retained a central area for the kitchen with a lower ceiling and cement floor tiles to define the area. The kitchen designed by Arior Design and made by Ray Munn kitchens has a leathered granite worktop and farrow and Ball “Railings” island. The bar height table and dining table were bespoke made in complementing finishes.

The master bedroom suite was originally two rooms and it was clear the clients wanted a bespoke dressing room off the bedroom and they really wanted a claw foot bath in the bedroom! We loved the idea of the bath height paint colour around the whole of the bedroom and across the doors.

We designed all the bathrooms throughout with simple but effective tile specifications and decorative lays to create interest. With some fun elements in the boy’s bathrooms.

We designed and installed the blinds and curtains throughout.
